A trusted way to find acupuncture care.
We believe choosing a practitioner shouldn't feel like a gamble. Acupuncturing makes it easy to find, vet, and book licensed acupuncturists — without hype, without guesswork.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an evidence-informed therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A licensed practitioner inserts very fine, sterile, single-use needles at specific points on the body to support the nervous system, musculoskeletal function, and overall wellbeing. It's used by millions of people worldwide for pain, stress, sleep, fertility support, and many other concerns.
What to expect at your first visit
- Intake (15–30 min). Your practitioner will ask about your health history, current concerns, sleep, diet, stress, and more.
- Assessment. A brief exam — often including pulse and tongue observation, a TCM hallmark — to inform your treatment plan.
- Treatment (30–60 min). You'll rest comfortably while needles are gently placed. Most people feel deeply relaxed, and often fall asleep.
- Recommendations. Your practitioner will discuss findings and an ongoing plan. Many conditions respond best to a series of sessions.
How we vet practitioners
Every practitioner listed on Acupuncturing is independently verified. We confirm active state licensure (or provincial registration, in Canada), appropriate training, and good standing with the relevant licensing board before a listing goes live. Practitioners must re-verify annually.
Who we are
Acupuncturing is built by a small team who believe that good care starts with good information. We're not a clinic, a billing system, or a telehealth platform — we're a directory, focused on helping you find the right person. When you book, you book directly with the practitioner.
